Created to allow retailers to <strong>cut costs in times of crisis<\/strong>, this format has proved to be an <strong>incredibly versatile tool<\/strong>, so much that it quickly went from being an exclusive of small independent brands to an integral part of the commercial strategies of the most established multinational brands.<!--more-->It is not simply a matter of opening a shop with an expiration date, saving on licenses and rents: a <strong>temporary shop is a packaging in itself<\/strong>, it works in a universe of rules and possibilities that involve product design, communication, promotion, the relationship with customers and the ability to take risks and experiment<\/p>\n<h3><strong>In the right place at the right time.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Perhaps the most obvious of the advantages of a temporary shop, compared to a traditional one, is the <strong>possibility of scheduling its openings during specific times of the year &#8211; for example holidays &#8211; which normally coincide with an increase in purchases<\/strong>, avoiding having to bear the expenses of a traditional activity in less profitable periods. To make the most out of this possibility, however, it is also important to <strong>know the area<\/strong> in which you want to operate. An in-depth study of the target will allow you <strong>to choose, for each city, the ideal location for a temporary shop<\/strong>, making it easily accessible to the type of clientele you want to attract.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The temporary shop and the sales spirit.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The reduced price is only partly the reason why angry crowds compete for products on sale. To make purchases suddenly indispensable, which until the day before were superfluous, is in large part, the pre-established time limit. <strong>The awareness that that particular product will be available under those particular conditions only by a certain period of time creates an urgency<\/strong>, which overrides the normal pre-purchase considerations. A temporary shop, which by definition presents itself as a limited-time reality, has the ability to <strong>generate the same interest as the sales period at any time of the year and for any type of product<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Not only a shop with an expiration date.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The brands that have made the most out of the creation of temporary shops are those that have been able to grasp and <strong>exploit the versatility of the format<\/strong>. Just selling your products as in any other traditional shop does not bring particular benefits. This way of selling allows unlimited promotional opportunities and <strong>can turn into a communication tool of the brand identity, even better than a normal advertising campaign<\/strong>. The secret lies in thinking big and not setting limits, offering the public a <strong>complete experience of all the brand&#8217;s values<\/strong>. Depending on the needs, a temporary shop can be the venue for <strong>exhibitions dedicated to local artists, workshops and events<\/strong> that go beyond the simple purchase. In this context it will be possible to <strong>test new lines and limited edition products<\/strong>, but also to <strong>experiment with new targets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Each brand has different needs, but <strong>if you get to know your audience, it is possible to offer, within a temporary shop, an interaction with the brand that would be unthinkable in a traditional store<\/strong>. From design to clothing, from cars to organic food, there is no product that cannot benefit considerably from the creation of a temporary flag-store.
