Wittenstein, a leading firm in the field of mechatronic engineering, needed to celebrate its twentieth anniversary and we were tasked with organising a team outing<\/a><\/strong> and a team-building activity. A corporate anniversary <\/strong>is a great reason to hold an event that brings people together, especially when it is such an important anniversary. It can be seen as both an opportunity to look back at what has already been achieved, and a chance to analyse the past and figure out where the future can take the company.
\n<\/p>\n

The project: a countryside retreat just out of the city to celebrate a corporate anniversary<\/h3>\n

Our client’s team headed to the countryside, not far from Milan, for a two-day team-building getaway. We made sure they could celebrate their twenty-year anniversary in spectacular surroundings, where the sights were matched only by their enjoyment of the dining and leisure activities that the location offered. We had organized the whole project with one specific goal in mind: to foster a strong sense of teamwork within the workforce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The activities: driven and focused, but also fun and charity-oriented<\/h3>\n

We started the day with an alignment meeting, where the team talked about the goals of the company and how to achieve them. During breaks, everyone enjoyed delicious snacks and relaxed playing table football. The second part of the day was devoted to team building. We organized a treasure hunt<\/strong>, in which participants needed to find pieces and materials used to build wheelchairs, which will be gifted to the local Niguarda hospital.
\nThe team members put their creativity, problem solving and charitable spirit to good use and proved equal to the task.

Did we mention we love scavenger hunts?<\/h3>\n

If you have been following this blog for any length of time, you will be aware that scavenger hunts are among our favourite ever team-building activities. They are great for team building because they give employees a chance to work together and have fun. They can be used as icebreakers or as part of an orientation program. When done correctly, scavenger hunts can also help employees get to know each other better.
\nThe problem with most scavenger hunts is that they are usually carried out in an office building or cubicle farm, where everything is familiar and there’s no real need to cooperate with others. The advantage of a scavenger hunt in a beautiful outdoor location is that it forces people out of their comfort zones, which makes them more willing to work together.

We held our team building event in a beautiful old farm house near Milan. It dates back to the 19th century and has refined old-times charm.
