Young people are the future of the planet, and Smart Eventi<\/strong> had long felt the need to link sustainability and education. After the first b2b event GECO Expo<\/strong>, which was attended by several schools, the Smart Eventi team decided to choose young people as its target audience. The company wanted to create a sustainable project that would involve students in all aspects of sustainable business.<\/p>\n

Join Smart’s large green education project with GECO For School<\/h3>\n

The GECO For School<\/strong> green education training project (now in its second edition) was born in this direction. Aimed at secondary schools throughout Italy, GECO For School represents an all-Italian novelty of its kind, designed by SmartEventi to assist children and teachers in training toward sustainability-related topics<\/strong><\/a>, while establishing important partnerships with universities and companies. Since last year, GECO For School has also been approved by the Ministry of Education within the “ReGenerating School” plan.<\/p>\n

This year, schools will be able to participate for free<\/strong>. The goal is to involve as many institutions as possible in order to truly try to build a better future together and give a critical issue the attention it deserves.<\/p>\n

GECO for School started on October 17th, but you can register anytime until March<\/strong>. There are only 10,000 places available<\/strong> throughout Italy, so hurry up and become a partner too! It is time for companies to invest in schools, because it is precisely by training the youngest that a transition to a more sustainable economy will be more easily achieved. The Gecko for School program offers an innovative way for companies to support schools by providing young people with a platform where they can develop skills that are key to growing our future green economy. By participating in Gecko for School, you’ll not only be supporting young people but also creating your own legacy of sustainability by helping them understand how important recycling can be for their future.<\/p>\n

Training for children, exposure for businesses and partner universities<\/h3>\n

Through GECO For School’s interactive platform, students have the opportunity to educate themselves on green issues through a webseries and quizzes that will generate a national ranking<\/strong>. In addition to classes on the topics, extra content booths, interviews from green experts, and in-depth features are also available.<\/p>\n

As part of Gecko for school, great visibility is given to the interactive stands of project partner companies and universities<\/strong> that are located within the platform. These companies are exposed to the attentive gaze of children, teachers and schools.<\/p>\n

Through the “Your Sustainable School<\/strong>” contest, moreover, students are invited to make what they have learned a reality by implementing a project, aimed at making their school more sustainable. The best project will be evaluated and awarded by the GECO Scientific Committee.<\/p>\n
