If computer-generated content gets better at mimicking human language, then how long can it be until it&#8217;s indistinguishable from human-created content? It&#8217;s a complex topic, and it&#8217;s on everyone&#8217;s minds as we look forward to the next decade. Some people are worried about how AGC <strong>will affect jobs that involve creativity<\/strong>. Others are concerned about how AGC is going to make it easier for businesses to create content without ever having to pay for it. The debate, however, deserves a further layer of complexity. In this brief, we&#8217;ll look at a few jobs where AI is unlikely to be replacing humans anytime soon\u2014but we&#8217;re not saying they won&#8217;t change as a result.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>The limitations of AGC<\/h3>\n<p>Artificial intelligence has already made a notable mark on the world of content generation, but there are some things that it just can&#8217;t do. For example, it can&#8217;t create any unique insights\u2014if it generates a piece of text that sounds authoritative and insightful, it&#8217;s because someone else said something similar before and the AI in question is using that knowledge to rewrite it in its own words. There is no fact checking, either; if a paragraph or sentence has a factual inaccuracy, then the algorithm doesn&#8217;t know that. Artificial intelligence may have amazing applications in the world of content generation, but it&#8217;s still not smart enough to replace humans in all situations.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21249\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.smarteventi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/AGC-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><br \/>\nWhat AI can do is <strong>automating the process of writing grammatically correct texts<\/strong>, provided that humans are doing the whole research and fact checking behind the actual content. That way, machines can focus on just turning your thoughts into words, rather than composing them from scratch. The same can be said for any piece of content that&#8217;s meant to go viral. In order for a piece of content to really catch on, it needs to have an element of surprise or cleverness or both. This is something that not even all humans are capable of producing and is AI is not even attempting to replicate.<br \/>\nThe attention to detail that humans bring to the creative process is one of the things that sets them apart from machines. Machines can learn how to generate text, music and video using huge libraries of existing information, but they cannot yet go beyond this into innovation. This concept has been summed up in the phrase &#8220;computers identify patterns and humans create art&#8221;. Midjourney images are technically perfect, but it is already possible to identify a certain style that tells us which images have been generated by algorithms and which ones are the product of human creativity. The same can be said for text, music and video.<\/p>\n<h3>Strategic decisions<\/h3>\n<p>Another thing AI is dependent on humans for is <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.smarteventi.it\/en\/how-artificial-intelligence-is-changing-the-event-business.html\"><strong>strategic planning<\/strong><\/a>. AI can predict future trends in many different ways, but its capabilities are limited. When it comes to ChatGPT and similar technology, AI can only predict what might happen based on the information that has already been published; this means that it is unlikely to come up with anything truly &#8216;new&#8217; when predicting future trends in any industry or sector. The reason for this is that in order to come up with new ideas, AI needs to be able to essentially start from scratch. To do so, it would need access to a completely blank canvas on which to work, something completely absent of previous data. This is a very difficult task for AI systems. It&#8217;s also important to understand that if an AI system could predict future trends, it would be able to manipulate them and thus become unethical at best and dangerous at worst.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21249\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.smarteventi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/AGC-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Conclusion<\/h3>\n<p>As artificial intelligence progresses, and algorithms get smarter, we may find ourselves doing fewer low-skilled, labor-intensive tasks. This could have a significant impact on the economy and society as a whole. How will governments grapple with unemployment? How will businesses function in a work environment that doesn&#8217;t need as many people? Will employers have to restructure job descriptions?
