In an increasingly global world, where geographical and cultural boundaries are becoming blurrier and blurrier, professional collaboration between different groups is one of the keys to success. Smart Eventi used the opportunity to develop this idea of collaboration by organising a team building event<\/a><\/strong> with a charitable purpose for Leica Microsystems. The choice of this particular kind of activity was not accidental: involvement in charitable activities is a concrete way of uniting people around a common goal, conveying a sense of belonging and sharing.
\n<\/p>\n

Making team building count: Charity and Multiculturalism<\/h4>\n

The choice of team building activity, especially in a multicultural context, plays a fundamental role. Smart Eventi wanted to highlight these aspects, by recommending an activity tailored to the client’s needs, which consisted of teamwork with a charitable end <\/strong>(the construction of wheelchairs, to be donated to a hospital facility). The participants, who came from different countries and cultures, worked together to achieve a common goal, overcoming language and cultural barriers, creating an environment of cooperation and mutual trust.
\nThe event was a great success, as attested by an interview with Sales Account Manager Riccardo Ascoli, who expressed his satisfaction with the organisation and choice of team building programme. In addition, the involvement in charitable work lent further value to the event, conveying a message of solidarity and social responsibility.

Yours is an international company, European market leader in the field of optical microscopy and surgical microscopes. A company dedicated to innovation and technological research. By virtue of these qualities, what is the driving force behind your company’s mission and vision and what led you to choose team building?<\/h4>\n

The company, as you said, is an international corporation with thousands of employees all over the world and is part of an even larger corporation that is extremely active in the healthcare industry, water management and so on. Specifically, our company is linked to hospitals, which means we didn’t shut down during the pandemic. So with all the restrictions that have been in place, we felt – perhaps more so than other companies and businesses – a strong need to organise an event where many people from different places could come together. This was an EMEA event, therefore gathering people from South Africa to Sweden and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n

How did you find out about our agency and what made you choose us?<\/h4>\n

I found you through an online search. I actually do a completely different job and I was assigned to be the Italian point of contact for the management of this event. My search was targeted: I wanted a team building project with a charitable focus.
\nThe main goal of my online search for the best agency to handle our team building event was on inclusion, diversity, and charity. I only found 4 or 5 agencies that met these criteria.

\nThe theme that we ended up pursuing was your idea, suggested after an initial email exchange and a few phone calls with Eugenia. We agreed that it could be a meaningful activity. Considering also that I personally operate in a completely different field, and not in event planning per se, but rather in the sales management of devices destined to hospital facilities and operating rooms, the idea of building and donating wheelchairs was extremely on point and deeply appreciated.<\/p>\n

How would you rate this activity, the relationship with Smart Eventi and the implementation of the whole event?<\/h4>\n

It was an unusually smooth relationship and the support on your part was absolute.
\nEven when things got complicated in terms of planning and invoicing, such as might be the case with an international corporation, Eugenia took things in hand and was always extremely considerate. She also had to deal with different points of contact, alternating between myself and a couple of other colleagues, who, depending who was travelling and who was available, could be more or less responsive.<\/p>\n

Overall, I think we can say it was a success and there will be a next time!<\/h4>\n

Absolutely, the smile on my colleagues’ faces after the event I would say was representative of the quality of your service.<\/p>\n
