Smart Eventi<\/strong> <\/a>was founded in April 2010 \u2014 and this year marks 15 years<\/strong> of determination, teamwork, and, above all, people. To celebrate this important milestone, we sat down with the four founding partners \u2014 Alessandro<\/strong>, Daniele<\/strong>, Lucio<\/strong>, and Paolo<\/strong> \u2014 to reflect on the company’s journey. Here’s what they shared with us.<\/p>\n

How and when did the idea of creating Smart Eventi come about? What were the dreams and ambitions that inspired you at the beginning?<\/h3>\n

The idea behind Smart Eventi came from a shared dream: creating something of our own, based on strong values and a healthy work environment. Before launching the agency, we had all worked in the events and communications industry \u2014 gaining not only technical skills but also a clear understanding of what kind of work culture we didn’t want to replicate.<\/p>\n

We first met while working together at another agency, a place that was full of energy but plagued by toxic dynamics. That experience naturally sparked the desire to build something different \u2014 and better.<\/p>\n

We quickly realized we shared the same vision<\/strong>, the same passion<\/strong>, and, most importantly, an unshakable trust in one another<\/strong>. That’s a rare and invaluable foundation.<\/p>\n

Smart Eventi was born from a conscious choice and the ambition to create an agency that could not only grow but thrive independently over time.<\/p>\n

Looking back, what has been the biggest challenge you faced, and how did you manage to overcome it?<\/h3>\n

Looking back, there’s no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic was the biggest challenge they’ve ever faced<\/strong>. Practically overnight, we went from a phase of rapid growth to a complete shutdown. Years of hard work and sacrifice felt like they might vanish in an instant. It wasn’t just a professional setback \u2014 personal losses and health struggles made that period even more difficult.<\/p>\n

But even in the middle of the storm, we showed who we really are. We never gave up. We stayed united, kept trusting each other, and found new ways forward \u2014 launching projects like Geco Expo along the way<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Their top priority was always to protect Smart Eventi and the people who are part of it. Some team members moved on, but the core stayed strong, thanks to years of responsible management and a deep-rooted resilience that’s part of their DNA.<\/p>\n

That crisis definitely left its mark on us, but it also made us stronger. Today, just like back then, we know that every challenge is another opportunity to grow and push even further.<\/p>\n

Was there a specific moment or particular event when you realized that the agency was truly growing and becoming something important?<\/h3>\n

There wasn’t a single, dramatic moment when they realized Smart Eventi was becoming something significant. Our growth has been steady<\/strong>, consistent<\/strong>, and persistent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

That said, there have been key milestones along the way. One of the first major boosts came when we won a substantial contract with Decathlon<\/strong> early on \u2014 a real validation of what we were building.<\/p>\n

As the years passed, we understood that continued growth needed a stronger structure. Around 2017-2018, we decided to specialize even further, assigning each partner responsibility over a specific area<\/strong>. That move significantly increased our expertise, internal trust, and sense of ownership \u2014 accelerating our development.<\/p>\n

Another defining moment came in 2022, in the post-pandemic recovery. We brought new talent into the company without missing a beat, a clear sign that our organization had become even more mature and resilient. Today, when we see the strength of our teams, the dedication of the people around us, and the investments we’re making in the future, we know we’ve built something truly special \u2014 and we’re just getting started.<\/p>\n

What are the achievements or partnerships you are most proud of, and how have these results shaped the company culture?<\/h3>\n

When they talk about achievements, we don’t just mean financial results. What we’re most proud of is the growth of the people who work at Smart Eventi. Over the years we’ve seen our teams evolve into stronger, more professional, more motivated groups \u2014 a transformation that reinforced a company culture rooted in trust, respect, and a deep passion for what we do.<\/p>\n

Some periods, like the intense years of 2022 and 2023, really stand out. Delivering complex events \u2014 like a major incentive trip in Tuscany for KPMG \u2014 proved that collective strength and shared goals make all the difference.<\/p>\n

We’re also proud of the innovations we’ve introduced<\/strong>: building a dedicated HR function<\/strong>, pursuing ISO 20121 certification for sustainability<\/strong>, and consistently investing in internal development and new ideas.<\/p>\n

Finally, seeing clients who have stayed with us for over a decade speaks volumes. Their loyalty tells us that our culture \u2014 built on commitment, reliability, and a drive to always do better \u2014 is the real engine behind everything we’ve achieved.<\/p>\n

If you could leave a message for the people who helped build the agency \u2014 collaborators, clients, partners \u2014 what would it be and why?<\/h3>\n

If we could send one message to everyone who has helped build Smart Eventi \u2014 colleagues, clients, partners \u2014 it would be simple: Thank you. Thank you to everyone who believed in us from the beginning and to those who still stand with us today. Every single person has left a mark<\/strong>: those who helped us grow, those who taught us hard lessons, and those who shared our vision for how work should be.<\/p>\n

Smart Eventi is the result of a long journey, made of successes<\/strong>, mistakes<\/strong>, insights<\/strong>, and bold decisions<\/strong>. Every individual along the way has helped create not just a business, but a working environment driven by collaboration, integrity, and a constant commitment to growth.<\/p>\n
