Seiser Alm

Seiser Alm, also known as Alpe di Siusi, is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the Dolomites, near the peaks of the Langkofel, Plattkofel, and the Schlern. It’s smaller and less known than some of the nearby Alpine destinations – such as Madonna di Campiglio and Cortina d’Ampezzo – but it has the undoubted advantage of being quieter and less crowded. Choose Seiser Alm for a relaxing holiday, to be spent communing with nature during long hikes in the breathtaking countryside, or for a sporting retreat, particularly if you like mountain biking and mountaineering. Here, you will be able to breathe the freshest air in Italy: the plateau is entirely car-free. This is the ideal destination for nature lovers and for anyone who feels the need to slow down and enjoy life at a more relaxed pace.

Lake Garda

Lake Garda is one of the most popular destinations in Northern Italy and with good reason: here you can experience a variety of different sceneries in the same day, lounging on the beach in the morning, hiking along a mountain trail in the afternoon, and exploring quaint little villages in the evening. While some activities are currently restricted, it is still possible to enjoy the outdoors safely, swim in the lake, or go sailing and wakeboarding. The local scenery is unusual for a mountain destination: between the beaches and the olive trees, you might be tricked into thinking you are looking at the coast or the inland of Southern Italy, were it not for the reassuring embrace of the Alps around the valley. The weather is generally milder and more stable than in most of the region, with hot days and cool, breezy evenings all through the summer.

Val di Susa is a huge valley, encompassing 39 municipalities in Piedmont. There’s a lot to see and do in every season, whether you like relaxing holidays in nature, cultural excursions, or intense sporting retreats. For a nature-themed holiday, we recommend the Avigliana Lakes Natural Park, at the foot of Mount Pirchiriano. The whole valley is dotted with Alpine lakes and ancient abbeys and it is said to be one of the most powerfully magical locations in the world.
