This edition is in itself a celebration, both of an impressive milestone – marking half a century of trade shows and wine-related events – and of the new goals that Vinitaly as a brand has set itself. Each day will be packed with events, shows, seminars, classes and press conferences. Wine tastings will naturally be a vital part of the visitor experience, as they can serve multiple purposes: from the presentation of new products to educational projects. Food will also play an essential role, as several local restaurateurs will provide special menus, to coincide with the event, matching wines by exhibiting producers to specially designed culinary creations.

Over the years, Vinitaly prompted a number of international events, that have contributed to the evolution of the whole wine industry.

What to do in Verona

We recommend you set aside a few days to explore the region. Verona is known as Romeo and Juliet’s city of course, but there is much more to it than this tragic and romantic association. The Arena is perhaps the most remarkable architectural and historical feature in the area: dating back to the I century, it is the best preserved roman amphitheatre in existence and to this day it hosts concerts, opera and theatre productions. If you want to make the most of your trip to the North-East of Italy, you should also schedule a trip to Venice.
