A charming sailing ezperience

We selected a sailing-related activity since it was a good fit for the client and offered the team members a chance to work as a real crew. The participants were instructed during a quick briefing when they first arrived at the Sailing Club. A professional presented the different components of the boats and the equipment needed for sailing. The participants were then separated into ten teams of five to six persons apiece, and each team was given a water bottle and a life jacket from a special table that had been set up for the occasion. It was then time to head to the lake!

The skipper led the groups to their sailboats where they received additional instructions. Each member of the team was given specific tasks to carry out, and in the early afternoon, the actual activity began with thrilling regatta simulations and small manoeuvres off the lake, resulting in 5 or 6 tries and an hour of pure fun.

When the participants returned to land, there was still time for a debriefing during which they could express their thoughts on the team-building activity they had just experienced. Everyone had a chance to take a breath recognize the value of cooperation, consider the new skills they had learned, and realize that they had all had an unforgettable day of fun in the sun and on the lake.
