Marketing is learning a new language: the one Gen Z actually speaks

Maybe it started with social media itself, that whole ecosystem built on emojis, memes and trends shifting by the hour, or maybe it’s just the natural evolution of how people talk to each other, accelerated by screens everyone’s staring at constantly. Whatever sparked it, one thing’s undeniable now: brands are the ones scrambling to learn Gen Z’s language, not the other way round. And to pull that off convincingly, they need to be more direct, considerably bolder, and a lot less corporate in tone.
