Car Building and wine tasting: a perfect incentive trip to the countryside

Written by Lucia Conti

Our extensive experience in the event industry has taught us that team building is one of the occasions when the employees of any company can explore or rediscover their unity, potential and strengths as a team, tapping into soft skills and emotional resources which can benefit the work environment as a whole.

As a result, no single team-building model can be applied to all businesses and be equally effective for all of them. The best way to go about selecting and planning team building activities is to get to know the specific team that will have to undertake it and identify the ideal experience to offer the client based on its characteristics.

An exclusive rural setting: the ideal destination for our client

We were recently contacted by a company that wanted to organise a two-day incentive trip in the countryside in an exclusive location. The client’s goal was to share the company’s successes and future goals in a final meeting, foster harmony within the team and celebrate the end of the working year in the best way possible.

We immediately thought of Franciacorta, a beautiful hilly region near Lake Iseo and a symbol of food and wine excellence, whose vineyards and wineries are renowned worldwide.

As is customary, we handled every aspect of the trip, which brought together all of the client’s partners from various parts of Italy. We chose one of the best hotels in the area, coordinated all airport transfers to the chosen location, and created personalized gifts for each participant.

A single omission or failure to anticipate a need can jeopardize the final outcome of an incentive trip. As a result, nothing should be left to chance.

Following the identification of the framework, the best activities for the company’s specific needs had to be determined. With this in mind, we proposed an innovative team-building initiative as well as a wine-tasting experience based on the area’s history and the abundance of traditional products that the chosen location is known for.

We had no doubts at all about team building, which is one of our strong suits: the activity should be immersive and make full use of the stunning natural landscape of the region, but also stimulate creativity and team spirit, and include an element of adventure. We opted for Car Building, which allowed everyone to not only try their hand at building racing cars but also to compete on the track, which was conveniently placed in an area surrounded by beautiful vineyards.

Participants engaged in relaxing and enjoyable outdoors physical in a magnificent natural setting, which allowed them to disconnect and interact in a completely different environment than they normally would. They had the opportunity to strengthen their team spirit, refine their ability to express their individual talents, and improve their problem-solving skills, which are essential in a corporate environment, by building their own racing cars and challenging each other. This is what team building is all about: improving a working group’s performance in a fun environment.

We also organised a visit to a few wineries in Franciacorta, which combine the tradition of ancient Italian wine-making with contemporary technologies and a future-oriented mindset. We also provided a tasting experience with local products, as well as an elegant dinner in a scenic venue. We also provided branded cakes and cookies to finish off the company dinner with an elegant and customised touch.
