MilanLoveSeoul: looking for the best Korean talents
With the support of Smart Eventi, Ylenia and Marcella flew to Seoul in search of the best Korean brands, aiming to create connections between an undeniable fashion capital, Milan, and an original, creative city that could one day stand beside it, reaching the status of Paris, New York, London, and other essential metropolises in the industry, both for top brands and emerging realities.
Marcella and Ylenia have been working on the project for over a year, identifying the best talents within the circuit, capturing the most fertile trends, and participating in three Seoul Fashion Weeks, from October 2022 to the last season in September/October 2023.

Three key criteria for selecting the designers
During this process, they met with over 50 designers, aiming to identify those who aligned with three key criteria: an innovative and sustainable approach, a profile compatible with a launch in Italy, and the ability to represent Korean lifestyle and culture.
A thorough search that led to the selection of the finest designers from the Korean scene, ready to arrive in Italy and inaugurate a new chapter for MilanLoveSeoul, for Smart Eventi, and for the fashion industry, opening up one of the most intriguing fronts in the contemporary landscape.
The grand launch during the Milan Fashion Week 2024
The project will indeed be launched in Milan during the Fashion Week scheduled from February 23rd to 26th, 2024. The launch event, which won’t only involve fashion but also culture, art, and innovation, will span four days. During this time, the collections of the selected Korean designers will be showcased. Additionally, it will culminate in a collective fashion show featuring prominent figures and talents from the industry.
The styles will range from the traditional hanbok, reinterpreted in a modern light, to the very contemporary Korean street style, including collections with a pop and romantic flair. Nearly all designers have already collaborated with Korean celebrities or showcased their work during Fashion Weeks in Seoul, Paris, and New York. Thus, the time has come to ‘consecrate’ the bond with Milan and add an extra hue to the international fashion scene.
Being present in Milan during Fashion Week means engaging with industry professionals, journalists, influencers, and buyers, but participants will have much more at their disposal than just that.
Indeed, this space shouldn’t be seen as just a showroom, but rather as a dynamic hub of ideas and networking, a bridge between two cultures and the future. That’s why MilanLoveSeoul isn’t solely a series of fashion shows; it’s an event and a project with plans for continuous expansion.
An event, a project, a bridge
The initiative involves significant supporters such as the Marangoni Institute, acting as an educational partner, with whom a special exhibition will be organized. This exhibition will involve alumni, former students of the institute, who have created collections with Korean fabrics from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, among the partners, there are also the best in class from the Italian fashion industry.
Smart Eventi continues to do what it does best: excelling not only in event planning but also skillfully navigating a landscape where sectors communicate globally, creating and multiplying opportunities even where they didn’t exist or making visible paths that were previously unseen. In short, intercepting the future.
