The rise of virtual and hybrid events has enabled event planners to reach a much broader audience than ever before. Virtual events are a great cost-effective way of reaching people all over the world…but they also come with their own specific, unique data collection problems that have to be dealt with effectively. The data collected during events has become increasingly important for many event organizers. However, many planners find that the data is too vast to effectively manage and instead of using the real value of it, they focus on cataloging it.
A research study has indicated that, event planners are struggling to manage the volume of event data generated, with over 50% collecting more information from events than previously, and 82% believe data management to be crucial in the future of event planning. The study was conducted by Eventsforce in May 2021 and targeted 200+ event professionals in the U.S. and the UK.
